Water Monster Appears In Tokyo Bay!
No, it's not Godzilla, you fools.
It's a public art display that features a holographic "sea monster" that's projected on a fine sheen of water mist. This video shows what it actually looks like.

I think this shit is cool as Hell, actually. If something like this were happening in Chicago, I'd be one of the first people lined up to see it.

It's funny, but I had the same thought, when I saw that video. "This technology would've freaked people out, 100 years ago."
I think it's interesting that we're using modern technology to actually make facsimilies of creatures that were formerly thought of as mythical creatures, in every possible way.
It makes me proud of what people can accomplish with their feverish little monkey brains.
